End of Season opportunity
Marlboro Youth Soccer Families,

As we come to the end of another successful fall season we have a great opportunity for an end-of-season party!

Come to Urban Air Adventure Park in Bellingham with your team for an unforgettable event. $15 per guest will get you an Ultimate pass for access to all the attractions, Urban Air Jump Socks, 2 slices of pizza and water ($40 value). This offer is available Monday-Thursday so it’s a perfect time to swap out your last scheduled practice night and use it to celebrate with your team.

Check out Urban Air at UrbanAirBellingham.com or FB.com/UrbanAirBellingham. MYS teams will fly on the Sky Rider indoor zipline, race on the ninja-style Warrior Course, conquer the 26-foot Climbing Walls and challenge your teammates at dodgeball! There are also trampolines, a multi-level playground, arcades and more. Urban Air is easy to get to and is only a short drive down 495.

Send an email to   and mention Marlboro Youth Soccer to receive this offer or ask additional questions.

Fall Season Information

Hi Everyone,

As we approach the end of the season I wanted to remind you of a couple of things:

1) Good job and nice try are the only things you should be yelling at the games. Let the kids have fun. Yelling to them is counterproductive because they stop playing to listen to you and being yelled at is never fun.

2) Please dress the players appropriately for the temperatures. Just put their game shirts over the warmer clothing.

3) Spring registration is open so make sure you register before 11/10 to avoid late fees and the wait list

4) Don't forget to change your clocks Saturday night.

Adam

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to bring a couple of items to your attention to ensure that the season runs smoothly.

Everyone should show up early and be prepared to start games and practices on time.  Players can wear sneakers or soccer cleats, but no baseball/softball or football cleats.  Shin guards must be worn for practices and games.  There should be no jewelry other than medical alerts, no exceptions (earrings can be removed from newly pierced ears and replaced after the game/practice without any issues).  These rules are for the safety of all the players.

Everyone should read the Zero Tolerance Policy ( click here to view policy) and MYS Code of Conduct (included below). We are an organization that follows these policies and expects our volunteers, players and parents to as well.  If you have any questions, please let me know because everyone will be held accountable for their actions and adherence to both policies.

Parents should cheer for their children but not try to coach them.   We have coaches to work with the players and often a parent giving advice to a player only confuses the player especially if their instructions go against what the coach has asked them to do.

Please remember youth soccer is about development, winning means absolutely nothing.

We are looking forward to a great season,

Adam Matthews
President
Marlboro Youth Soccer

Code of Conduct

  • Through submitting the membership application for my child, I also am a member of the Club, and am therefore subject to the Club's rules, and to the rules and regulations of the organizations to which the Club belongs.
  • My child plays soccer for his or her benefit, not mine.
  • I will not give instructions to players -- that is the coach's role.
  • I will never question the referee's judgment, integrity or honesty.
  • I will support all efforts to eliminate verbal and physical abuse from the game of soccer.
  • At all times I will show respect for the players, the coaching team, referees, and opposing players and coaches.
  • I will teach my child that doing one's best is as important as winning, so that my child will never feel defeated by the outcome of a game.
  • I will make my child feel like a winner by offering praise for competing fairly and doing their best.
  • I will encourage my child to play by the rules and to resolve conflicts without resorting to hostility or violence.
  • Children learn by example. I will applaud good plays by both my child's team and their opponents.
  • I will make sure that my child arrives for practices and games at the time designated by the coach.
  • I realize that the team can be penalized for my behavior. I will obey a request by a referee or from the team's coach to leave the vicinity of the field.
